Pay & Benefits
  • Rate: $0.00/hour (rate caps and additional call/callback pay discussed upon application)
  • Additional Compensation:
    • Orientation: $262.50 (half the hourly/callback rate, after 8 hours)
    • On-call (per 24 hours): $5,200 and below (includes 8 hours gratis)
    • 24-hour Holiday Call Rate: $7,800 (includes 8 hours gratis)
    • Callback (per patient contact hour): $525 and below (after gratis hours)
    • Holiday Callback: $787.50 (per hour, after gratis hours)
  • Benefits: Pay package discussed upon application; comprehensive insurance and travel benefits available
What You ll Do
  • Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultations and procedures including ERCP, EUS, and endoscopy
  • Manage GI bleed evaluations, GI problems, and other related issues
  • Support trauma and emergency cases in a high-volume hospital setting
  • Collaborate with hospitalists and trauma teams to deliver optimal patient care
  • Document thoroughly using EPIC EMR system
  • Respond to urgent calls and manage patient follow-ups during on-call hours
What You Need
  • Active Colorado medical license or IMLC
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Minimum of 3 years of GI experience, including ERCP procedures
  • Current ability to perform ERCP, EUS, and endoscopy
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to stay at preferred hotel accommodations and adhere to hospital policies
About the Assignment
This inpatient assignment at a Level 1 Trauma center involves covering shifts with urgent December need. The facility is staffed with 24/7 trauma and intensivist support, with a diverse adult and geriatric patient population, including occasional pediatric trauma cases. Providers will engage in diagnosing and managing GI emergencies, performing advanced endoscopic procedures, and contributing to a dynamic medical team.
