Locum Gastroenterologist ME

Multiple Weeks Feb July 2026
Schedule: M F: 7a-4p 8-hour days (30-min lunch)
Coverage: Inpatient + Clinic + Endo
Call: May receive Inpatient calls from ER during 7a-4p shift

Position Highlights

  • Endoscopy in OR; 1 clinic day/week

  • clinic patients/day

  • Adults outpatient + inpatient consults

  • Full OR support staff

  • Onsite lab & X-ray

  • EMR: Epic

Required Procedures

Lower GI:

  • Lower GI Endoscopy

  • Sigmoidoscopy

  • Colonoscopy

Upper GI:

  • Diagnostic EGD

  • EGD w/ Biopsy

  • EGD w/ Banding of Varices

  • EGD w/ Foreign Body Removal

Additional:

  • Therapeutic procedures preferred (general accepted)

Requirements

  • Board Certified Gastroenterology (ABMS or AOA) Required

  • ACLS & BLS Required

  • ME License or IMLC LOQ Highly Preferred
