CHILD & ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRY

Position Highlights:

  • Desirable Practice Setting:100% community-based, outpatient only - no inpatient responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor fellows and residents (PGY-2 through PGY-5) in a collegial, growth-oriented department
  • Work alongside 6 Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellows, plus forensic fellows and psychology post-doctoral trainees
  • Ideal Work Environment:General child and adolescent outpatient practice with community clinic and substance abuse settings
  • Friendly, diverse, and flexible faculty culture with strong mutual support
  • Light call burden: phone-only coverage (1 weekend or 3 weeknights per month), with evenly rotated holidays
  • Optional in-person ER call available for additional compensation
  • Leadership opportunities available based on interest and experience, including expansion into a partial hospitalization program and supervision of substance use disorder treatment
  • Academic & Research Opportunities: 20% protected time for scholarly activity - research, teaching, and/or committee work
  • Two fully funded, state-wide research projects available to join immediately, focused on childhood trauma and depression/suicide (ages 8-20)
  • $3,000 departmental research support for faculty pursuing independent research
  • Faculty encouraged to present at conferences
  • Department in active growth phase with stable, upfront state funding for research and clinical activities
  • Additional protected time available for grant-funded faculty (RO1 eligible)
