Job description

Opportunity:

Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology


Job Details:

  • Locum Tenens assignment covering inpatient consults, ED consults, and transfers

  • ERCP preferred

  • Board certification required at minimum certified level

  • ACLS certification required

  • Facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center

  • Required procedural skills include:

  • Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices

  • ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) - diagnostic and therapeutic

  • PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)

  • Esophageal dilatation, manometry, and manometry interpretation

  • Small bowel biopsy

  • Lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy

  • Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision

  • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) preferred

  • Liver biopsy

  • Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube

  • Fellowship training required
