What You ll Do
  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments for patients in a correctional setting
  • Document findings accurately and thoroughly
  • Provide patient education on eye health and safety
  • Maintain compliance with all facility policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with security and healthcare teams to ensure safety and quality care
  • Maintain detailed records in accordance with regulatory standards
What You Need
  • Valid optometry license in West Virginia (confirm requirements upon application)
  • Previous experience in eye examinations and patient care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize patient needs
  • Key certification(s): Credential requirements to be confirmed with VHS
