What You ll Do
  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams and evaluations
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and diagnose visual disorders
  • Document patient findings accurately
  • Follow clinic protocols and safety procedures
  • Collaborate with facility staff to ensure quality patient care
  • Engage with correctional facility staff and manage patient care efficiently
  • Maintain compliance with all licensing and facility regulations
What You Need
Required:
  • Valid optometry license/certification (please confirm credential requirements)
  • Experience in providing eye care services (years not specified)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a correctional environment

Preferred:
  • Prior experience in correctional or similar healthcare settings
About the Assignment
This position offers the opportunity to deliver essential eye care services within a correctional setting in South Carolina. The selected candidate will work approximately 3 days per week on-site with potential flexibility for full-time effort, supporting the health and well-being of a unique patient population. The assignment begins immediately upon credentialing approval, with a focus on providing impactful, compassionate care.
