Our mission is to provide excellent assessment and treatment of adults and children with psychiatric illnesses, emotional problems, and behavioral disorders. We offer a wide range of evidence based psychiatric, psychological, and neuropsychological services in a private and comfortable environment and provide you compassionate and high-quality care with a personal approach.
CAMC offers behavioral health resources in multiple locations throughout the system, including the Family Resource Center at CAMC Women & Children s Hospital, the Family Medicine Center and the West Virginia University Department of Behavioral Medicine located in the Institute for Academic Medicine building on the CAMC Memorial Hospital campus.

Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) was established in 1972 and is a nonprofit, 1,138-bed regional tertiary referral center made up of seven hospitals: General Hospital, Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Memorial Hospital, Plateau Medical Center, Teays Valley Hospital, Women and Children s Hospital, and Charleston Surgical Hospital. In addition to the hospitals, CAMC is comprised of the Institute for Academic Medicine and the CAMC Foundation. More than 1,500 providers are members of the medical staff of CAMC, which is also West Virginia's premiere medical teaching facility, hosting, on any given day, more than 1,000 students in programs leading to degrees or certifications in health professions.
Job Summary
To provide child abuse evaluations in the Child Advocacy Center and to provide child abuse consultations for patients at Women and Children's Hospital. The physician will also be available for expert consultation on patients outside of Women and Children's Hospital for possible child abuse and neglect and will be available for court appearances as an expert witness
Contributes medical expertise and supervision for the provision, evaluation and continuing improvement of patient care services rendered in the Pediatric Ambulatory Unit at Women and Children's Hospital and Newborn Nursery.
