Position Overview
Inhospital Physicians is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians to join the team at St. John s Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas. This is a community-based ED with a strong culture, consistent volume, and diverse case mix, including behavioral health and correctional population exposure.

Position Highlights
- 1099 independent contractor role

- Full-time: 120 hours/month

Clinical Environment

Staffing Model
- 1 Emergency Medicine physician (day)
- 1 Emergency Medicine physician (night)
- 1 APP (mid-shift)
- Admissions managed by hospitalists

- 14 ED beds with fast track

Qualifications
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM preferred)
- Will consider ABFM with 2+ years Emergency Medicine experience or EM fellowship
- Active or eligible for Kansas medical license (IMLC eligible)
- Comfortable with independent coverage and transfer-based care
Key Considerations
- Transfer coordination required for certain specialties
- Correctional patient population is a meaningful part of the volume
- Standalone ED model requires adaptability
