Position Overview

Inhospital Physicians is seeking Emergency Medicine physicians to join the team at St. John s Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas. This is a community-based ED with a strong culture, consistent volume, and diverse case mix, including behavioral health and correctional population exposure.

This role is ideal for physicians who value autonomy, efficiency, and a supportive team environment.

Position Highlights

Clinical Environment

Qualifications
  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM preferred)
  • Will consider ABFM with 2+ years Emergency Medicine experience or EM fellowship
  • Active or eligible for Kansas medical license (IMLC eligible)
  • Comfortable with independent coverage and transfer-based care
Key Considerations
  • Transfer coordination required for certain specialties
  • Correctional patient population is a meaningful part of the volume
  • Standalone ED model requires adaptability
