Locums - Ephrata, Pennsylvania, Hematology/Oncology Opening (IMLC Accepted)
Start Date: July 27, 2026Assignment Length: Ongoing - minimum 6-month commitment
Schedule & Shift Details:
- Full-time coverage needed
- 5 clinic days per week
- 8-hour clinic shifts
- Day schedule
- Clinic begins at 8:00am
- First patient scheduled at 8:15am-8:30am
- Last patient scheduled at 3:30pm
- 30-minute lunch included
Call Requirements:
- Weekend call: 2 weekends per month
- Night call: 10 days per month
- Call rotation: 1:2
- Weeknight call hours: 4:15pm-8:00am
- Typical call volume: 2-3 patient calls between 5:00pm-9:00pm
- Rarely receive calls after 9:00pm
- Weekend call includes 24-hour coverage plus approximately 2 hours of rounding on Saturday and Sunday
- Covers ER and hospital teams
- Consulting service only - hospitalists manage admissions
- Phone calls do not count as callbacks
Practice Setting:
- Clinic and hospital coverage
- Rural community setting
Patient Population & Volume:
- Adult Hematology and Oncology patients
- Approximately 15 patients per day
- 60% Hematology / 40% Oncology
- Provider expected to manage:
- Solid tumor oncology
- Benign hematology
- Malignant hematology
Infusion & Treatment Details:
- 14-chair infusion center onsite
- 2-bed infusion room
- Oncology-certified nursing staff
- Radiation Oncology onsite
Procedures:
- Bone marrow biopsies not required
- Lumbar punctures not required
- Port access not required
- BMT consults/care not required
Support Structure:
- 1.3 Hem/Onc physicians onsite
- 3 APPs
- Onsite pharmacist support
- Participation in disease-specific and general tumor boards
EMR: Epic
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- DEA - Required
- Minimum 1 year experience - Required
- Pennsylvania license or IMLC - Required
Credentialing:
- Approximately 90 days
- Temporary privileges available for clean files
