    Home Healthcare Registered Nurse (Detroit, Michigan) Under general supervision of the nursing supervisor, provides direct patient care in the home while applying nursing principles. Assesses patients needs for additional allied health care servicessuch as physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition, speech pathology, and social workto support an integrated home health care delivery system. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
    Job Details

    • Schedule: Days, 8 shift hours, minimum 40.0 hours per week.
    • Required Qualifications: Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA); successful completion of a registered nursing program accredited by the National League of Nursing; current valid drivers license and reliable transportation; minimum of 1 year of Home Health RN experience; minimum of nine months of clinical nursing experience; ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel; strong interpersonal and customer service skills to interact with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds; ability to lift, carry, transport, and move clients as needed.
    • Preferred Qualifications: Acute care experience.
    • Additional Information: Supports the Home Health department with patient load in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. Anticipated case load is approximately 6 patient visits per day. Orientation is 24 weeks depending on individual acuity and takes place at 1 Ford Place and in the field with a preceptor. A 17-week contract is provided with strong potential to convert based on performance.
