The Personal Injury Closing Settlement Paralegal plays a crucial role in managing the final stages of personal injury cases, ensuring smooth settlement processes and accurate documentation. This position requires close collaboration with attorneys, clients, medical providers, and internal teams to finalize cases efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate MUST be bilingual in Spanish and possess strong negotiation and communication skills, particularly in settlement handling and lien reductions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of personal injury cases through the settlement phase.
  • Prepare and file closing documentation with relevant parties.
  • Negotiate lien reductions with medical offices and ensure proper payment to providers.
  • Communicate with clients throughout the settlement process, including signing releases, confirming amounts, and coordinating receipt of settlement checks.
  • Maintain continuous communication with attorneys, paralegals, and managing paralegals regarding case settlements.
  • Ensure case updates are accurately maintained in the case management system.

Required Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in a personal injury firm, preferably with settlement negotiation experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Bilingual Spanish required.
