We are seeking a dedicated Attorney to handle bankruptcy and social security disability cases. This role involves frequent court appearances and requires collaboration within a small legal team. The position may also require local travel to meet client and court obligations.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their legal needs and circumstances
- Prepare cases thoroughly for court proceedings and negotiations
- Provide clear and informed legal advice tailored to bankruptcy and social security disability matters
- Review and draft legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Appear frequently in court to represent clients effectively
- Collaborate with a small team to strategize and manage case workloads
- Travel locally as required to attend client meetings and court hearings
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction
- Strong client communication skills to handle sensitive legal matters
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to resolve complex legal issues
- Commitment to ethics and confidentiality in all client interactions
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in legal practice, preferably with exposure to bankruptcy or social security disability cases
