Job Description Job Description
The Tabo Law Firm is looking for a Family Law Attorney who wants more than a job. We are building a modern, trial-focused family law firm with strong marketing, a growing team, and a clear vision for expansion. If you enjoy court, client strategy, and contested family law - and you want to do that work inside a firm that respects your time, trusts your judgment, and supports you with real infrastructure - this may be exactly what you have been waiting for.
Why This Role Is Different
- Meaningful family law litigation - custody, DVRO, contested divorce, and trial-level work
- Strong support from case managers and administrative staff so you can focus on legal work
- No expectation to build a book of business on day one
- Modern, tech-forward firm with clear systems, strong intake, and a real marketing engine
- Direct growth path as the firm scales - this is a career opportunity, not a seat to fill
- Clear performance expectations and bonus opportunity tied to production and firm growth
- A firm culture built on mutual respect, clear communication, and no tolerance for toxicity
- Your time off is your time - we mean that!
What You Will Do
- Handle family law hearings and court appearances independently
- Manage custody, support, DVRO, and contested dissolution matters from initiation through resolution
- Draft and review pleadings, declarations, motions, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and orders
- Communicate with clients professionally, consistently, and with empathy throughout their matter
- Work closely with case managers and administrative staff to move cases efficiently
- Contribute to case planning, litigation strategy, and process improvement
- Keep client files organized, current, and court-ready at all times
Who We Are Looking For
- Licensed California attorney in good standing with 2-5 years of family law experience
- Comfortable in court or genuinely motivated to become courtroom-strong - we will support that growth
- Skilled at drafting pleadings, declarations, and strategic documents with precision
- Emotionally steady and client-centered - family law clients are going through hard things, and you know how to hold that well
- Organized and responsive - you manage a busy caseload without things falling through the cracks
- Collaborative with staff and attorneys; willing to follow process and contribute to a team
- Comfortable with technology, systems, and accountability structures
- Interested in growing with a firm that is actively building toward something
