Employment Litigation Associate Attorney
Fairfax, Virginia Hybrid Schedule Available
Our growing law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-3 years of employment law experience to join our Fairfax, Virginia office. This position offers a hybrid work environment with both remote flexibility and in-office collaboration opportunities.
The ideal candidate will be licensed in Virginia or eligible for waiver into the Virginia Bar and preferably reside in Northern Virginia.
Responsibilities
- Draft and respond to discovery requests and initial pleadings
- Draft, argue, and respond to motions
- Take and defend depositions
- Conduct witness interviews and case investigations
- Prepare Statements of Position for EEOC matters
- Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff in a fast-paced legal environment
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of employment litigation experience
- Admitted to the Virginia Bar or eligible for waiver into the Virginia Bar
- Experience handling employment law matters, including discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour disputes, and wrongful termination claims
- Strong drafting, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Experience with EEOC proceedings strongly preferred
- Significant labor and employment law experience preferred
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
