A well established family law firm in The Woodlands, Texas is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least five years of substantive family law experience, is comfortable managing a litigation docket, and is looking for a long term home in a supportive, team oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Independently manage a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, enforcement, and modifications.

Handle all phases of representation: client consultations, strategy, discovery, mediation, and hearings.

Appear in court for temporary orders, status conferences, trial, and post judgment hearings as needed (occasional but expected).

Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, and orders with minimal supervision.

Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff in a professional and timely manner.

Supervise and collaborate with paralegals and support staff to move cases efficiently.

Meet minimum billing requirements of 32 billable hours per week.

Requirements

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Active license in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.

At least five (5) years of family law experience, with substantial time spent in Texas state courts. Strong litigation skills and comfort with occasional contested hearings and trials.

Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

Ability to work on site Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility to work late as client or court needs require.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines and a busy docket.

Professional, empathetic client communication style suited to high emotion family law matters

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $120,000-$150,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and level of responsibility.

Potential for additional compensation through performance based bonuses.

Minimum 32 billable hours per week.

10 days paid time off (PTO).
