JOB DUTIES:
- represent clients in criminal defense cases, including pretrial motions, hearings, and trials
- conduct thorough legal research
- draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and memoranda.
- negotiate plea agreements and settlement terms on behalf of clients.
- advise clients on legal rights, options, and potential outcomes related to criminal charges.
- collaborate with witnesses and other legal professionals to build strong defense cases.
- maintain meticulous case files and documentation in accordance with legal standards.
- travel to surrounding counties
- attorney-client visits with incarcerated clients.
EXPERIENCE:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar required.
