Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on trucks/trailers
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Performs general repairs to: electrical systems, starters, lights, alternators, wiring harness
- Brake repair and installations
- Engines (gasoline and diesel)
- Troubleshoot brakes, air systems, electrical, suspension, etc.
- Perform hydraulic troubleshooting/repairs as needed
- Work with drivers to diagnose problems
- Feed trailer repair
Qualifications:
- Basic training in diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulics, air conditioning, and electrical systems
- Heavy-duty diesel mechanic experience (truck + trailer)
- Strong diagnostic skills
- Ability to perform some type of welding (preferred)
- Ability to fill out necessary paperwork efficiently
- Ability to work overtime when needed
- Own tools preferred
- CDL a plus (not required)
