We are seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery. This role requires a strong understanding of diesel engine repair, hydraulics, and the ability to work with OEM specifications. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Analyze, diagnose, repair and maintain light, medium and heavy trucks, loaders, skid steers and other construction equipment
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on all equipment.
- Maintain accurate records
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Understand operating principles of machinery.
- Use judgement to determine repair priorities.
- Communicate effectively with fellow employees for safety and efficiency.
Preferred Experience/Education
- CDL Highly Preferred
- 3 years experience and/or votech / Mechanical Training
- Good driving record
- Reliable and strong problem-solving skills
- DOT Certification Preferred
