Job Description:
WTI, an accredited institution and the leader in technical "hands-on" training, is seeking a highly motivated part-time evening instructor for the Electronic Systems Technology program. We are committed to serving our students by providing quality education in a range of specialized career paths. We offer a variety of electronics courses within our Electronic Systems Technology program. The instructor will teach our advanced courses in our Electronic Systems Technology AOS degree program. The core classes include Electronic Circuit Design, and Circuit Board Design. This position is not a remote position.
Essential Functions for an Electronics Instructor
- Electronic Component Troubleshooting Level Knowledge (Required)
- Plan course instruction based upon the approved syllabus provided
- Supervise independent or group projects, laboratory work, or other training
- Advise students on academic and vocational concerns
- Maintain knowledge of relevant student certification testing to ensure class activities support testing needs in addition to needs in the workplace
- Observe and evaluate students' work to determine progress, providing feedback, and making suggestions for improvement when necessary
Requirements for an Electronics Instructor
- Possess Excellent interpersonal skills in the areas of collaboration, team participation, creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, group planning, and decision-making
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must be student-focused and work well without close supervision
- No previous teaching experience required!
- Candidates must have at least 3 years of industry-related experience
