JOB DESCRIPTION
- Setup and run CNC Lathe and CNC Swiss
- Reads and interprets blueprints, job routers, sketches, and related technical data to determine setup procedures, tooling, control settings, and manufacturing sequences.
- Prepares and forms tools needed for machine operations; Mounts, aligns, and secures tooling, attachments on machine.
- Verifies that setup meets acceptable quality standards or other specifications.
- Enters commands or manually adjusts machine controls to correct out-of-tolerance sequences.
- Monitors operation of machine and verifies conformance of parts to specifications.
- Develop set-up sheets, identifies tooling, tooling availability and responsible for tool life management.
- Assist to create accurate and efficient engineered programming of using Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or PartMaker.
- Perform required maintenance checks of equipment before beginning any manufacturing operation
- Resolve machining related quality issues
JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 4 years of CNC Lathe machinist experience working in a CNC machine shop. Experience on running Swiss is highly preferred
- Interpret Engineering specifications, Drawings & GD&T.
- Experience with various inspection methods
- Possess effective communication skills and interacts in a professional courteous manner with all co-workers
