Garza Legal Group, PLLC

Addison, Texas, United States

Job description

Job Description Job Description

Please read entire description before applying.

Garza Legal Group, PLLC is a small Texas law firm focused on probate, estate planning, and probate litigation. We are looking to hire an experienced Probate Paralegal to join our team. This position is full-time, salaried, and in person.

This is an important hire for our firm. We are a small office, and every person on the team matters. The right candidate will be joining a hardworking, eager, and collaborative group of people who care about doing good work, learning, and supporting one another. We are looking for someone who will match that culture while also bringing the experience and judgment needed to manage probate matters with minimal supervision.

This is not an entry-level position. We need someone who already understands Texas probate practice and can help move probate matters from intake to completion. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling routine probate tasks, tracking deadlines, preparing filings, communicating with clients, and keeping cases organized and moving forward.

Who Will Succeed Here

The person who succeeds in this role will be proactive, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of their work. We are looking for someone who can identify what needs to be done, ask smart questions when needed, and help keep cases moving without waiting to be told every next step.

This is a good fit for someone who enjoys working in a small firm, values teamwork, and takes pride in helping clients through difficult and important moments in their lives.

This is not a good fit for someone who needs extensive training in basic probate procedure, prefers a highly compartmentalized role, or is uncomfortable working in an environment where priorities can change quickly.

Why work at Garza Legal Group?

Our firm offers a different kind of small-firm environment. We work hard, take our clients' matters seriously, and expect a high level of professionalism-but we also value flexibility, common sense, and quality of life. Our office culture is more relaxed than many traditional firms, with casual attire, flexibility on work hours when the calendar allows, and a team that genuinely enjoys working together.

Because we are a small firm, paralegals here are not limited to one narrow task or hidden behind layers of bureaucracy. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of probate, estate planning, and litigation matters, take ownership of cases, identify problems, propose solutions, and play a meaningful role in moving client matters forward. We want team members who are capable, curious, and comfortable being trusted with responsibility.

We also have friendly office dogs, which makes the workday better for everyone. Well-behaved, friendly dogs may be welcome with prior approval.

The Probate Paralegal will assist with probate, estate administration, heirship, estate planning, and related matters. Responsibilities may include:

• Organizing and maintaining physical and electronic case files;
• Drafting correspondence and routine legal documents;
• Assisting with estate planning document preparation and execution appointments;
• Supporting probate litigation matters as needed;
• Coordinating with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to keep cases moving efficiently;
• Performing other routine paralegal and law office tasks as needed.

• Prior Texas probate experience;
