Job Description Job Description We are seeking a CNC Lead Machinist to join our team on our weekend shift. You will work 36 hours (Friday- Sunday), get paid for 40 hours (4 bonus hours) and enjoy 4 days off in the week! You will help oversee operational activities and ensure excellent quality control as well as oversee the other 4 weekend employees.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee other weekend shift employees
- Job preparation including building tools, fixturing, material prep, loading work/tool offsets, etc. according to programmer specifications
- Coordinate with programmers on job progress & potential improvements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely fashion
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Provide innovative solutions to improve shop efficiency
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the shop floor
- Log and record readings for machined parts
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shop operations or other related fields
- Familiarity with machine shop and quality lab tools and equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
