We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Probate Paralegal to support an attorney in all aspects of probate, estate administration, trust administration, and conservatorships. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling sensitive client matters, managing court filings, and guiding clients through the probate and conservatorship processes with professionalism and empathy.
Key responsibilities:
Preparing and filing probate documents including:
Petitions for Probate
Notices of Petition to Administer Estates and other Judicial Council forms
Accountings using Excel and related Reports for the courts
Calendaring critical dates, hearings, and statutory deadlines
Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, heirs, and fiduciaries regarding case status and required information
Assist clients with gathering asset information and documentation for estate administration
Draft correspondence and maintain consistent client communications
Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
Track progress of cases and proactively follow up on outstanding items
Qualifications:
Paralegal certificate required
3+ years of probate or estate administration experience preferred
Strong knowledge of probate procedures and court filing requirements
Familiarity with legal terminology and court rules
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
