Key Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Setup and Operation: Set up and operate Mazak multi-axis turning centers and mills.
- Programming: Program, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs using Mazatrol or G-code.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for defects using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
- Process Optimization: Optimize, optimize speeds, feeds, and tool selection to improve efficiency.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on Mazak machines, including cleaning and ensuring proper lubrication.
- Documentation: Maintain job travelers, report production data, and document quality checks.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience with Mazak CNC machinery and Mazatrol programming.
- Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
- Tooling Knowledge: Experience with tool selection, fixturing, and proper work holding techniques.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training is preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods and handle parts, often lifting up to 35-50 lbs.
