JOB SUMMARY:
In this is skilled machining position you will work with Engine Lathes of various sizes to perform precision tasks in accordance with standard machining practices.
WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
- Must be able to determine proper operation methods, including set-up of parts in the machines using chain falls and electric hoists.
- Follow machining parameters associated with specific jobs to be machined, by implementing knowledge including but not limited to, reading blueprints/sketches and using precision measuring tools.
- Experience in the use of standard carbide indexable tooling to perform Manual Lathe work to include turning, boring, facing, drilling, threading, grinding, etc.
- Skill in changing work holding chucks, steady rests and tool posts and any other tooling along with adjustments, cleaning and preventative maintenance to the machines.
MUST HAVE:
- A Valid Driver's License
- Your own Tools (preferred)
