Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled mid- to upper-level CNC Machinist with strong experience in CNC lathes and mill-turn machines for a fast-paced job shop environment. The ideal candidate will be capable of independently setting up, programming, and running complex parts while maintaining high standards for quality, efficiency, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, and operate CNC lathes and mill-turn machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
- Perform machine setups including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and work holding
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools
- Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet quality specifications
- Work efficiently in a job shop environment with frequent changeovers and short runs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other machinists as needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience preferred (lathe and mill-turn)
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining principles, tooling, and cutting parameters
- Proven ability to independently complete setups and complex jobs
- Experience working in a job shop environment
- Ability to hold tight tolerances and work with a variety of materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work overtime when required
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
- Experience with multi-axis mill-turn machines
- Familiarity with aerospace, automotive, or precision manufacturing standards
