We are looking to add CNC Lathe(Haas) Machine Operator to work 1st and 2nd shift, Monday - Friday.
Reporting to the Production Lead, Operator role involves the following:
This position will be trained to Operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) lathes and mills.
Learn to perform machine set-ups, adjusting speeds, feeds, and depth of cut, on machined parts to specifications set forth in, drawings.
Checks machined parts for conformance to part prints using basic shop inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, sine plates, etc.)
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences.
Mounts, aligns, and secures tooling, attachments, and work piece on machine
Learn to load program in machine or enters commands to retrieve preprogrammed instructions from data base
Discusses programming opportunities of improvement with supervisor to resolve problems or improve performance.
Clean machine, tooling, and parts
Perform machine maintenance
Clean-up of work area, and other areas of the facility as asked adhering to 5S principles
May be asked to assist in other plant functions under direct supervision of the shop team lead
Performs other duties as assigned or needed to better a department or company
Exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
This position may require long hours and weekend work due to production, rework or customer deadlines
Experience with CNC Haas lathe is a plus.
Requirements:
Ability to set up cutting tools and prove out new programs using set up sheets
1-2 years of relative experience required
Experience working with CNC lathes and mills required
