The Machinist (CNC and/or Manual) will operate CNC machines and/or manual machines to manufacture precision metal parts, primarily in small batch or one-off production runs. This role requires interpreting blueprints, setting up machines, and performing routine maintenance. The machinist reports to the Shop Supervisor and works day and evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC and manual machining equipment
- Set up machines according to blueprints and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints for manufacturing requirements
- Produce precision parts in small batch or one-off runs
- Perform routine maintenance on machines
- Ensure accuracy through precision measurement and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of machining experience
- Experience with CNC programming
- Proficiency in manual lathe operation
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Expertise in precision measurement
- Excellent machine setup skills
- Attention to detail
