We are seeking a highly skilled Tool & Die Maker to join our production team. This role is designed for a technical expert who takes a high degree of ownership in their craft and thrives in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of production tooling-from initial design input and precision builds to complex troubleshooting and maintenance of large-scale stamping dies.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication & Assembly: Build, maintain, and repair production tools, including large stamping dies, fixtures, assembly tooling, and precision gages.
- Technical Interpretation: Utilize blueprints and CAD models to determine exact project specifications and tolerances.
- Machining Operations: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, utilizing both manual and CNC equipment to finish and adjust components.
- Die Specialization: Expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues within compound and progressive dies to ensure continuous production flow.
- Design Collaboration: Provide active technical input during the planning and design phases of new dies and fixtures to optimize manufacturability.
- Quality Assurance: Test and validate all tools to ensure they meet rigorous internal quality standards and performance metrics.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Completion of a formal Tool & Die Apprenticeship program.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience specifically with stamping dies.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong command of CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks and FeatureCAM).
- Advanced proficiency in both manual and CNC machining.
- Expert-level knowledge of progressive and compound die mechanics.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
