We are a small law firm in Scottsdale looking for an in office full-time paralegal with 1-2 years experience in personal injury.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Strong communication: Can write clearly, respond to emails promptly, ask questions when needed, ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on the phone

Have basic computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Google research abilities

  • Ability to work independently and to follow directions to complete assignments given, to have initiative and be pro-active with task completion
  • An ability to successfully juggle multiple mandates at the same time
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Attention to detail

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Case Management: Organize and maintain all client files from intake to closing, ensuring documents are properly filed within the client file binders and on the computer, scanning documents to update physical and digital files.

Ensure clients are informed and receive status updates timely, communication with clients on a regular basis to keep track of treatment status.

Medical and Insurance Coordination: Communicate with medical providers, automobile insurance companies, and other parties involved in the case to gather necessary information, such as medical records, bills, automobile insurance coverage details, and health insurance subrogation and liens.

Organize, review, and evaluate medical records and bills.

Prepare demands

Manage deadlines and due dates

Assist with new client intakes, including potential new client phone calls, scheduling intake meetings aligned with the attorney availability on the company calendar

Other responsibilities as needed and assigned
