CNC / CAD Operator Programmer- $20-30/hr

Position Summary:
Program machine tools with Master Cam and Solid works using data provided in die designs and other forms of geometry received by use of math data, sketches, IGES and verbal instructions.
Set up and operates CNC machining centers to perform various functions required utilizing knowledge
of machine tool capabilities, machinability of materials, and shop math:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interpret part prints and die designs to assure proper assembly of Dies ( previous die building experience a big plus)
Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances, using measuring instruments,
such as dial indicators, gauge blocks, thickness gauges, and micrometers.

Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities.
Compare programs to data provided to confirm their correctness and use your skills to the best of your capabilities and your skill level to check for errors prior to machining of steels
Set up and operate CNC equipment using proven machining methods and applying personal knowledge
Maintain CNC machines and support equipment as recommended in machine manuals and keep records of all maintenance performed in a log.
Keep all equipment clean and maintain all CNC supplies and keep inventory of cutting tools, oils, lubes, holders and all expendable tooling.

Current weekly hours are 6am-4:30pm M-F

Saturdays are worked (5hrs) when Tool room load requires the extra time to meet deadlines occasionally

Job Qualifications:
Working knowledge of machining equipment
Minimum of 5 years of hands on CNC experience.
Working knowledge of CAD CAM software and 5 years of experience using Master Cam
5 years of experience using Windows-based software

Formal Education Requirements:
High school education and job related training.
4 years of trade school, vocational education and has passed certified apprenticeship program.
Advanced theory classes related to CNC machining
