Position Summary
Wayside Truck Parts is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to expand our customer base while strengthening relationships with existing customers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving customer problems and growing sales through exceptional service and consistent follow-up.
Key responsibilities
- Grow sales with existing customers through regular visits, relationship building and identifying new opportunities.
- Prospect and develop new commercial accounts, including fleets, repair shops, municipalities, construction companies and owner operators.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
- Schedule and conduct face to face customer visits daily.
- Present new products, promotions and solutions to help customers reduce down time.
- Resolve customer concerns quickly while providing outstanding customer service.
- Maintain accurate customer records and activity in our customer contact notes.
- Collaborate with inside sales and warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity and customer needs.
Qualifications
- Some previous outside sales experience preferred, preferably in heavy-duty truck parts, automotive or related industries.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Self motivated with ability to work independently.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
