Job Description Job Description Commercial Truck Sales RepresentativeUsed Truck Department National Fleet Management (NFM)

Location: Statesville / Iredell County, NC Area

About NFM

National Fleet Management is one of the fastest-growing companies in the heavy-duty truck service and parts industry. We are building our Used Truck Department into a major revenue center and are looking for a driven salesperson to grow with us.

We sell Class 3-6 work trucks and Class 7-8 medium and heavy-duty trucks to contractors, owner-operators, fleets, municipalities, and trades across the region. We back our sales team with floor plan inventory, a real reconditioning process, and operational support so you have the right trucks, priced right, and ready to sell.

The Role

This is a results-driven sales position where you own the deal from first contact to delivery.

You will work leads from TruckPaper, Facebook Marketplace, referrals, walk-in traffic, phone inquiries, and your own prospecting efforts to turn opportunities into closed units and repeat customers.

We measure success by units sold, gross profit, inventory turn, and customer relationships. If you want to build a book of business, create repeat customers, and be rewarded for your performance, this could be the opportunity for you.

What You Will Do
  • Sell Class 3-6 and Class 7-8 used commercial trucks at retail

  • Manage and respond to leads quickly and professionally across all channels

  • Match buyers with the right truck, present solutions, and close deals

  • Know your inventory inside and out, including specifications, mileage, condition, and market pricing

  • Build relationships with contractors, fleets, owner-operators, municipalities, and trades that lead to repeat and referral business

  • Track leads, opportunities, and sales activity to identify trends and opportunities

  • Prospect for new customers and develop your own pipeline

  • Work closely with operations and service teams to ensure units are properly prepared for sale

  • Consistently achieve weekly and monthly sales goals

What We Are Looking For
  • Sales experience required; commercial truck, automotive, heavy equipment, trailer, or related industry experience preferred

  • Strong closers from other industries will be considered

  • A self-starter who takes ownership of results and does not wait to be told what to do

  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and follow-up skills

  • Organized and disciplined with customer and lead management

  • Honest, dependable, and committed to delivering on promises

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary plus commission, with earnings heavily weighted toward commission

  • This is a high-upside role for a closer. The more you sell, the more you make.

Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

  • Paid Time Off (PTO)

  • Paid Holidays

  • 401(k) Plan

  • Career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding company

Why Join NFM?

We are investing in inventory, people, and growth. This is an opportunity to help build a department, establish relationships in the market, and create long-term success for both yourself and the company.

If you're motivated by results, enjoy working with customers, and want to be part of a growing organization, we'd like to talk with you.
