Job Description Job Description
Are you a driven, hands-on salesperson who loves being out in the field and controlling your own income?
We are seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our team. This is a highly rewarding, customer-facing role where your paycheck directly reflects your effort and closing skills. If you are a self-starter who enjoys solving real problems for homeowners, working independently, and staying active outdoors, this is the career move you've been looking for.
Why Join Us?
High Earning Potential: Solid base hourly pay + uncapped commission structure.
Plenty of Hours & Overtime: Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule starting at 6:45 AM. Consistent hours mean steady, reliable income with excellent overtime opportunities.
Independence: Manage your own day in the field-no micromanagement or staring at a desk.
In-Depth Training: We will teach you the technical side of the industry; you just need to bring the drive and the sales talent.
Position Overview
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will travel daily to residential properties to evaluate septic systems and drain fields. You will assess system conditions, gather field data, prepare estimates, and present solutions directly to homeowners with the goal of closing the sale.
This is an active, field-based role that perfectly blends technical problem-solving, light physical work, and consultative selling.
Key Responsibilities
Consultative Sales: Visit residential properties, diagnose failing septic systems, and recommend the best solutions.
Estimate & Close: Prepare detailed project estimates for tank replacements and drain field repairs, present bids, and successfully close the sale.
Field Evaluation: Use standard field tools (like augers and shovels) to locate tank lids, identify soil types, evaluate site conditions, and take basic measurements for site drawings.
Customer Ownership: Maintain strong, professional communication with the customer from the initial estimate through the final sale.
Technical Mastery: Learn and apply industry-specific knowledge, including soil classifications, water tables, and system sizing.
What We Are Looking For
The Ultimate Closer: A confident professional who excels at building instant trust with homeowners and navigating the sales process smoothly.
Resilient & Self-Motivated: Someone with a positive attitude who stays focused and driven to reach their earning goals.
A Sharp Problem-Solver: Able to think on your feet, assess unique property layouts, and explain technical solutions clearly to customers.
Requirements
Previous face-to-face or outside sales experience.
Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying Florida weather conditions and performing light physical labor (locating lids, testing soil).
Professional appearance and a strong work ethic.
Reliable transportation to report to the office daily.
Must pass a thorough background check and drug screening (Drug-Free Workplace).
Why this format will perform better:
The Hook: The new title and intro immediately highlight uncapped commission and overtime, which are massive green flags for hungry sales reps.
Softer, Professional Language: Replaced "demanding role" and "not the easiest job" with "active, field-based role" and "excellent overtime opportunities." It conveys the exact same reality but makes it sound rewarding rather than punishing.
Clear Expectations: It still clearly states they will be using shovels, digging for lids, and working in the heat, so you won't get candidates who expect a clean-suit tech job.
