Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to deliver high-quality primary care services in an outpatient clinic serving employees and their dependents (ages 2+). This role focuses on comprehensive care, including preventative services, acute care, and chronic disease management.
Schedule
- Monday & Wednesday: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Tuesday & Thursday: 10:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 12:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and therapies as permitted by state regulations
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans
- Document all encounters accurately in Athena EMR
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
Minimum Requirements
- Active Physician Assistant license in California
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- NCCPA certification required
- Minimum 2 years of primary care experience
- Ability to treat patients ages 2 and up
- Current DEA registration
- Board Certification required
- BLS certification required
- Active dispensing license (if required by state/client)
- Must comply with all federal, state, and local regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in employee health, urgent care, or occupational medicine
- Strong clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient setting
