OnCall Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity with a respected healthcare system.
Position Overview

Schedule & Call
- Floor/Clinic Hours: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
- 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Night Call: 6:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend beeper call
- Call coverage includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
- Required call response time: minutes
- Open dates available throughout July and August, with additional ongoing coverage expected
Responsibilities
- Inpatient post-operative rounding
- First assist in cardiovascular surgery
- Clinic patient evaluations and follow-up care
- Call coverage responsibilities
Required Skills & Experience
- Endoscopic vessel harvesting
- Radial artery harvesting
- Interpretation of EKGs, X-rays, and laboratory results
- ECMO experience
- IABP and Impella management
Requirements
- Active California PA license required
- Board Certified Physician Assistant
- DEA required
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Current CV
- Clean malpractice history
- Clean NPDB report
- Clean background check
Credentialing
- Estimated timeframe: 60 days
- Hospital privileges required
- July/early August coverage may be dependent upon privileging approval
