We are seeking a Low Voltage And Security Technician to join our team! In this role the employee will be working in multiple areas such as low voltage cabling, fiber, alarm systems, access control, surveillance cameras, AV solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Low Voltage Cabling & fiber: Install pathways, racks, supporting hardware and cabling. Terminate, test and certify cabling.
- Video Surveillance Systems: Ability to install, aim, configure and troubleshoot IP based camera systems. Experience with Hanwha, Axis, and Ubiquiti preferred.
- Access Control: Ability to install/service new and existing access control systems. Candidate will have to troubleshoot electrified door hardware, card readers, door controllers, REX devices, Mag locks and electric strikes. Experience with Galaxy or PDK preferred.
- Alarm systems: Cabling, installation of intrusion alarm devices, testing, troubleshooting commercial alarm systems.
- Excellent communication skills are needed. You will be onsite point of contact for customers as well as communication link between clients and CTSS. Ability to read blueprints and create as builts.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security installation, access control, low voltage cabling.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools, lifts and ladders.
- Ability to handle physical workload, lifting heavy objects, working on ladders and lifts. Indoor and outdoor work required.
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Schedule flexibility and travel may be required.
