Responsibilities:

Assisting with the preparation, filing and service of pleadings, motions and other court documents; Act as a liaison with the court for scheduling hearings and trials; Litigation Support (includes trial preparation, discovery, depositions, drafting legal documents); Checking and editing legal forms and documents for accuracy; Legal Research; Client Communications; Calendar Control; Scheduling legal deadlines

Proficiencies:

The ideal candidate will be proficient in MS Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Power Point, Excel, be highly organized, work well in a structured team environment, have experience in litigation, assisting with and attending trial, be a self-starter, be deadline and detail-oriented.

Preferred Education:

Paralegal Certification or significant experience as a Legal Assistant, proof of continuing legal education, High school diploma or GED required

For now, this role will be contractual at a competitive hourly rate, with the potential of becoming a full-time position pending performance. Bonuses are paid monthly based on firm and individual performance.
