Facility:
This regional medical center is a well-supported hospital offering a comprehensive range of specialty services including anesthesia, cardiothoracic surgery, catheterization lab, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, radiology, and laboratory services all available 24 hours a day. The facility provides a collaborative environment with telehealth pulmonary and critical care support, as well as a Level II nursery.

Opportunity:
Physician - Hospitalist

Job Details:
  • Locum Tenens Hospitalist opportunity starting September 14, 2026 on an ongoing basis
  • 7 days on / 7 days off rotation schedule
  • Day shifts from 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM (Monday through Sunday)
  • Average daily census of 10-12 patients per physician
  • Must be comfortable with ICU components including ventilator management, intubation, and central line placement, as telehealth pulmonary/critical care is the only available support
  • Level II nursery support required, including pediatric inpatient care
  • Privileges in moderate and/or deep sedation for non-anesthesia professionals required
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine required
  • Active South Carolina medical license required candidates licensed in SC only will be considered
  • Certifications required include ATLS, BLS, and PALS
  • Preferred adult procedures include inpatient and ICU care, non-invasive and invasive ventilation management, intubation, chest tube placement, arterial line placement, PA catheter placement, PICC line placement, EKG interpretation, cardiac stress testing, and echocardiogram
  • Preferred pediatric procedures include inpatient and PICU care, Level I and II/NICU nursery, attendance at C-sections and high-risk deliveries, non-invasive and invasive ventilation management, pediatric and newborn intubation, conscious and deep sedation, and central line placement
  • Credentialing timeframe is approximately 30 days
  • Candidate must have DOP completed prior to placement
  • Local or driving distance candidates preferred
  • Nearest airports include Charlotte, NC; Florence, SC; and Columbia, SC
  • Lodging available at Mantissa in Hartsville, SC ask for the Carolina Pines rate

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
