A New York City health services organization is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their high-volume Emergency Department in Fulton County.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day, Evenings, or Nights
- Hours: 9am to 7pm or 3pm to 12am
- Setting: Hospital Emergency Department
Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency medicine care to patients in a high-volume emergency department
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute medical conditions
- Perform patient assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up care as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to support patient care
- Document patient encounters and clinical care in the electronic medical record
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active New York state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Board Certification
- Active DEA registration for the state of application
- Current ACLS and PALS certifications
Desired Skills:
- Emergency Medicine experience
- Experience in an Acute Care or Emergency Department setting
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
- Moderate sedation competency
- Case log documentation and recent CME activity
