Job description

Shift: Scheduled clinical hours plus call coverage

Description:
  • Inpatient practice setting
  • Minimal to no clinic responsibilities
  • Temporary privileges available
  • Epic EMR system
  • Flexible scheduling; providers available for partial coverage dates will be considered
  • Dedicated nursing support
  • Two Advanced Practice Providers
  • Collaborative inpatient care environment
  • Physicians with strong advanced endoscopy skills and experience managing complex inpatient GI cases are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
  • Hospital service coverage
  • Inpatient consultations and rounding
  • Endoscopic procedures
  • 24-hour call coverage
  • Management of GI emergencies and inpatient cases
Qualifications:
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Gastroenterology fellowship required
  • Advanced GI experience required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Ability to obtain Minnesota medical licensure if needed
  • Credentialing timeframe: approximately days
Experience Required:
  • EGD and upper GI endoscopy with biopsy
  • Foreign body removal
  • Hemostasis procedures and variceal treatment
  • ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)
  • PEG placement
  • Esophageal dilation and manometry
  • Small bowel biopsy
  • Flexible sigmoidoscopy
  • Colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy
  • Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
  • Liver biopsy
  • Management of Sengstaken-Blakemore tubes
