Full-Time.We are seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join a School-Based Health Center serving elementary through high school students. This role provides comprehensive primary care services within the school setting, increasing access to care in a safe, convenient environment that supports both student wellness and academic success.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive primary care to students (typically ages 518)Assess, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and minor injuriesManage chronic conditions such as asthma, ADHD, and diabetesPerform routine physical exams (annual, sports, school-entry)Prescribe medications and monitor treatment plansPerform basic in-office procedures (wound care, throat cultures, point-of-care testing)Administer immunizations per CDC and state guidelinesConduct screenings (vision, hearing, BMI, depression, substance use)Provide health education and anticipatory guidanceSupport reproductive and sexual health services (as permitted by state law)Identify and refer students with behavioral or mental health needsCollaborate with counselors and behavioral health providersCommunicate with parents/guardians regarding treatment plansCoordinate referrals to primary care providers and specialistsCollaborate with school nurses and administrators on student health plansParticipate in multidisciplinary meetings as neededMaintain accurate documentation in the EHREnsure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and state regulationsFollow consent and confidentiality laws related to minorsParticipate in quality improvement initiativesQualificationsRequiredMaster of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)Graduate of an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner programNational board certification as an FNPActive, unrestricted Ohio RN and APRN licensePrescriptive authority and DEA registrationCurrent BLS certificationPreferredExperience in pediatrics, adolescent medicine, school-based, or community healthExperience working with underserved or diverse populationsBilingual skills relevant to community servedTraining in trauma-informed careBenefits
