Prime Staffing is seeking a qualified provider for an exciting assignment.

Schedule: Mon - Fri 8a-5p, call is required
Duration of assignment: ASAP - Aug (with the option to extend)
Must have first assist experience and vein harvesting experience
What is the split between OR, ICU, clinic, and floor work? 80% OR, 10% clinic, 10% ICU/Floor
What level of autonomy is expected (independent or always with surgeon)? Always with a surgeon in the OR; Independent in clinic
Are they expected to round independently? With surgeon backup on site or by phone; Not much rounding, mostly OR
Any non-cardiac responsibilities (vascular, thoracic, general surgery)? Very few thoracic; No vascular or general surgery
What procedures are required?
•CABG, valve replacements/repairs, TAVR, ECMO, VADs, transplant? CABG (60%); AVR, MVR, TAVR; occasional ECMO. No VADs or transplants
Which procedures are required in addition to vein harvesting? Vein Harvesting (Getinge Equipment); Endoradial is a plus but not required; IABP removal
I'm assuming these items they will need to be comfortable with as well?
•Chest tube placement/removal Mostly removal
•Central lines / arterial lines Not necessary
Average case volume per day? 1-2 cases per day (appx 250 open hearts per year)
As far as the call schedule goes, Is call in-house or beeper call? Is this a home call? Call includes finishing any second cases that day and then is from home
Frequency (1:3, 1:4, weekends?) 1:3 during the week; weekends could be 1:7 depending on the roster
Average call-back volume per shift? Essentially zero
What types of cases come in during call? (emergent CABG, dissections, etc.) No dissections.
Client will prefer an all-inclusive rate if travel/lodging expenses are needed
