SUMMARY: The HR Manager serves as the strategic and operational leader for all Human Resources functions across the organization. This position partners with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives, workforce planning, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, compliance, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits administration, performance management, and employee relations.

DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation
Maintains HR Information System records and compiles reports from database
Coordinate and facilitate employee recognition activities
Evaluates and updates job descriptions
Develop, recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures
Promote diversity awareness in hiring practices
Administer payroll, employee benefits and FMLA
Mentor managers on employee development best practices
Responsible for overseeing and administering the companys compensation programs
Collaborates with Controller in setting merit pay guidelines and bonus pay criteria
Research market trends and performs compensation analysis
Develops and maintains a pay structure that aligns with the companys objectives
Provides compensation support/training to leadership for new hire offers, merit, bonus, promotions, and adjustments
Provides day-to-day performance management and compensation guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including workforce planning, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, pre-employment activities, and onboarding support to ensure timely placement of qualified candidates.
Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies utilizing multiple sourcing methods, including job boards, direct sourcing, professional networking, employee referrals, industry associations, and candidate databases to attract and engage qualified talent.
Partner with hiring managers throughout the recruitment process by conducting candidate assessments, coordinating interviews, facilitating reference and background checks, and preparing employment-related documentation, including offer letters, promotions, and transfers.
Independently manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
Develop and nurture partnerships through human resources to bridge the divide between management and employees
Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
Leverages experience to minimize outside consulting expenses including legal reviews
Acts as the program manager for one or more HR programs, such as training, performance management, compensation, benefits or other related areas
Coach managers and leaders on employee relations, performance management, communication, conflict resolution, and leadership effectiveness.
Manage benefit programs including annual open enrollment, vendor relationships, employee communications, and program administration
Lead employee engagement, recognition and culture initiatives that strengthen employee experience and organizational effectiveness
Identifies company-wide needs and develops programs that meet the organizations strategic goals for delivery
Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of programs. Follow-up to ensure objectives are met

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
8 years of progressive Human Resources experience
Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or operational environments preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Must be able to effectively communicate, train, coach and interact with employees at all levels in both English and Spanish
Demonstrated experience in employee relations, compensation, performance management, benefits administration, talent acquisition, and employment law compliance
Bachelors degree in business, communications, or related field
Current, in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to human resources and employee management, including workers compensation, labor relations, and federal and state employment laws
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Adept with performance management and investigations
Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive matters in a professional and discretionary manner
Leads by example commitment to personal and professional development and takes responsibility for own development
Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
