Facility:This gastroenterology practice is a well-established outpatient facility offering comprehensive digestive health services to the community. The facility features a 6-bed department with a focused and supportive clinical environment dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.
Opportunity:Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:- Provide comprehensive gastroenterology services with approximately 20 patient encounters per shift
- Active Virginia medical license required - no IMLC accepted
- Board certification required; minimum board certification eligible
- BLS certification required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
- Perform upper GI endoscopy procedures including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), injection of varices, and PEG placement
- Perform esophageal dilatation and manometry
- Conduct small bowel biopsy procedures
- Perform lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
- Perform colonoscopy with biopsy and excision of polyps
- Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
- Lodging recommendations available via preferred hotel list
- Assignment start date: 9/28/2026 on an ongoing basis
Compensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
