Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing primary care team serving communities in : Goldsboro, Faison, Kenansville -North Carolina.
This position is ideal for providers with experience in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or Community Health who are passionate about preventive medicine, patient-centered care, and improving community health outcomes. The provider will work collaboratively with clinical staff while delivering comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in an outpatient primary care setting.
- Provide comprehensive preventive, acute, and chronic disease management services.
- Refer patients to specialists and coordinate follow-up care as needed.
- Review laboratory, imaging, and emergency department reports daily.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives and standardized care protocols.
- Assist with development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Participate in cooperative relationships with local healthcare providers and community organizations.
- Provide occasional coverage for on-call, evening, weekend, or emergency situations as needed.
- Travel to additional clinic locations when required.
Qualifications
Required:
- Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active North Carolina NP or PA license (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in: Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Community Health
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to preventive medicine and community-focused healthcare.
Preferred:
- Experience serving underserved or rural populations.
- Background in community health or federally qualified health center (FQHC) settings.
