Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing primary care team serving communities in New Bern and Morehead City, NC.
This position is ideal for providers with experience in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or Community Health who are passionate about preventive medicine, patient-centered care, and improving community health outcomes. The provider will work collaboratively with clinical staff while delivering comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in an outpatient primary care setting.
Provide comprehensive preventive, acute, and chronic disease management services.
Refer patients to specialists and coordinate follow-up care as needed.
Review laboratory, imaging, and emergency department reports daily.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure continuity of care.
Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives and standardized care protocols.
Assist with development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
Participate in cooperative relationships with local healthcare providers and community organizations.
Provide occasional coverage for on-call, evening, weekend, or emergency situations as needed.
Travel to additional clinic locations when required.
Qualifications
Required:
Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Active North Carolina NP or PA license (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
Minimum 1-3 years of experience in: Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Community Health
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
