Schedule: Weekends only; 24 hour on campus call (7a-7a); typically Saturday 7a to Monday 7a (two consecutive 24 hr shifts)
Patient Volume: Daily census 11; infants through adolescents
EMR: Epic
Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
Required Procedures/Skills: Ventilator management; central and arterial lines; chest tubes; transfusions; ICP evaluation; hemodialysis; trauma (blunt/penetrating); pre/post op care; arrests, sepsis, renal failure, poisoning
Board Requirements: Board Certified in Critical Care
Licensure Requirements: Active South Carolina medical license required
Credentialing Timeframe: 60-90 days
Additional Details: Pediatric medical/surgical/neuro ICU; Level II & III NICU; pediatric unit; 24/7 radiology, OR, and lab; onsite pediatric subspecialists; rounds with 2-3 residents; overnight call with 1 resident; clean background/malpractice required; flu vaccine required in season
