Practice Details• Location: Alpena, Michigan
• Setting: Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital coverage
• Schedule: Monday Friday, 8-hour days
• Coverage Need: Approximately 2 weeks per month ongoing
• Call Schedule: 1:2 call rotation
• EMR: EPIC with Dragon dictation
Clinical ResponsibilitiesThe provider will be responsible for:
• New patient consultations
• Established patient follow-up visits
• Inpatient rounding and hospital consults
• Reading and interpreting cardiac imaging and diagnostic testing
• Performing procedures based on the physician's training and comfort level
Procedures
Preferred procedural experience includes:
• Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• Cardioversions
• Loop recorder implantations and explantations
• Diagnostic cardiac catheterizations (available but not required)
The facility is flexible regarding procedural volume and can tailor responsibilities based on
the provider's experience and skill set.
Support Staff
• One APP currently supports the service
• No supervision responsibilities required
Requirements• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Active Michigan license preferred, though providers with an active IMLC Letter of
Qualification will be considered
• Ability to provide:
o 50 cardiology cases performed within the past 12 months
o 25 TEEs completed within the past 12 months
• Proctoring may be required depending on procedural privileges requested
