Position Overview:A healthcare organization is seeking a qualified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment in a community hospital setting. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population in a supportive clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:Deliver high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages
Manage an average of patients per day
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, technicians, and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
Accurately document patient encounters using an electronic medical record (EMR) system
Provide care during 24-hour in-house shifts
Schedule & Work Details:Shift Type: 24-hour in-house shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)
Schedule: PRN / Full-time coverage needed
Call: No call required
Orientation: All hour's billable
Block Scheduling: Not available
Facility Overview:Community hospital setting
Emergency department with approximately 10 beds
Inpatient unit with approximately 10 beds
On-site imaging services available
Requirements:Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine
Active state medical license required (or eligibility through Interstate Medical Licensure Compact)
DEA certification required
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience
Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred
